The the militant fighters almost gained
access to the road linking the residence of Governor Ibrahim Geidam, but
for the timely intervention of the JTF. There is serious commotion in
the town, this is almost like a civil war... guns and bombs are heard
from every corner and no one knows what led to this latest attack on
Damaturu. Security sources say more troops have been deployed to Yobe
from neighbouring states to help bring the situation under control.
