No fewer than 40 people were yesterday killed in a bomb attack targeting fans watching a
football match in
Mubi,
Adamawa State.
“There has been a bomb explosion at a football field this evening
(yesterday) and so far more than 40 people have been killed,” an officer
who requested anonymity told Vanguard.
State Police spokesperson, Mallam Othman Abubakar, confirmed that
blast saying it occurred at about 6p.m. on Sunday. He however could not
confirm the casualty figure.
According to him, the blast occurred at a popular relaxation centre, Kabang.
